Chanel Date Codes & Serial Numbers

Chanel serial codes were first used in the year 1986. Any item that was produced prior to this year will not have a date code. Likewise, Chanel stopped using date codes after 2021 and replaced it with a chip and unique code per item.

Here is how to determine the series number with Chanel serial codes. If there are seven digits total, you'll only use the first number and match it to this chart. If there are eight digits total, you'll use the first two numbers and match them to this chart.
